My name is Michael Birtles – I’ve had a lifelong interest in train travel. I ran a train tour travel. company for 23 years to 2017 and enjoyed helping people exploring the possibilities for taking to the rails. Now I am retired I want to share my passion for train travel. How about be the lakes and mountains of Switzerland or historic cities like Istanbul and St Petersburg. Train travel is a wonderfully relaxing allowing you to appreciate the passing scenery, chat to the locals or just to chill out.
